This journal is for you to record your plant or crop-growing journey, from the first seed you plant to the day you harvest your food or continuously observe your plant.

Included in the Journal:

• A Page for Ideas-Planning
• Plant/Crop Record Page (To keep track of what has been planted and how it went. Number the pages)
• Suggested Plants/Crops (A list of categorized easy plants and crops that children could start with)
• Recording Pages (Two pages per plant/crop to write everything about the plant, the care, changes, results, drawing, etc.)

Growing plants gives children an opportunity to observe the world around them, learn about the needs of living things, and discover how food grows. Whether you are growing cress on a windowsill, herbs in pots, or vegetables in containers, every growing project offers something to learn.

Use the pages to record what you plant, when you plant it, how you care for it, and how it changes over time. Draw your plants, measure their growth, note the appearance of new leaves or flowers, and record any problems or surprises along the way.

You can also write about what worked well, what you would change and what you learned from each experience.
